Was held Saturday, November 12, 2011
@ 6:00pm
A full Turkey Dinner was served with a good turn out. Thanks to Racheal Sleasman, Chairmen for the 125th Anniversary Celebration for a job well done.

ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING
November 26, 2011
at 5:30pm.
Come Celebrate “Light Up Our Town” at the Christmas Tree located
between the USPS and the Borough Building.
Invocation given by Pastor Elsie Gonsman from the
Roaring Spring Mennonite Church.
Lighting of the Tree by Mayor Ronald Glunt and Emily Mountain,
Little Miss Roaring Spring.
Christmas Caroling to start at the Christmas Tree and proceed down East Main Street
to the Roaring Spring Community Library for home-made cookies and hot chocolate.
Santa Claus will be present to greet the children!
Hope to see you there!
We will be collecting hats and mittens for the area children
and non parishable food items to be donated to the local food bank.
Boxes will be available at the Roaring Spring Borough Office & the
Roaring Spring Library for your donations. Thank You…

FISHING DERBY
RESULTS
140 Children Registered
103 children ages 5-9
37 children ages 10-13
121 Fish were caught **56 Golden trout & 65 Rainbow trout
WINNERS
1st Place – Toby Wright age 5 caught a 31″ Rainbow trout winning a Gift Card and free mounting from Camerer’s Wildlife Art & Taxidermy of Roaring Spring.
2nd Place – Shayla Smith age 11 caught a 28 1/4″ Rainbow trout and won a gift Card.
3rd Place – Daniel Mickel age 9 caught a 28 1/8″ Rainbow trout and won a gift Card.
Smallest Fish Caught – Daltyn Dibert age 5 caught a 14″ Rainbow Trout and won a Gift Card and free mounting by Camerer.
Thank you to the Roaring Spring Lions Club and the Roaring Spring Historical Society for donating the Hot Dogs and Drink and ice cream for the children, and to all the volunteers, without them we could not hold this event.
The Derby was a great success!

SPRING DAM WEEKEND
July 29-30-31, 2011
Scheduled the last full weekend in July, with food being served by the Roaring Spring Volunteer Fire Company #1, bands, craft show, cruise in, and lots of activities.
