The Roaring Spring historical society was incorporated in 1987 to preserve the history of the Borough and this portion of the railroad that serves the Cove. The Train Station was built in 1906 and the restored 1942 N5C PRR caboose, originally made in Juniata, Altoona, Pa., was added to the property in 1992.

Regular monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7 PM, no meetings in November and December. October, January, February and March meetings are held at the Roaring Spring Borough Building. All other meetings are held at the Train Station.
